Might I suggest the excellent Hongdian M2 as an alternative if that happens? I also have a Kaweco Sport AL and I find the Hongdian is a really nice alternative. Also... The finial shows ying yang cats!

This is how it looks like, I've triggered it to appear when I'm at the office, thank you again for the spot of joy!

This is why one does not attempt to ink new pens when outside (cleaned hands whoops).

It was Diamine Majestic Blue.

Someone posted this in Discord about the same news, and Malaysians will understand the context. (and if you unsure, ask. one should be aware of the kelancauan of the K'tan govt.)

Seen while travelling in the city - makes me wonder how much did Tiger Bank pay for this slot (that's my suspicion)

To add, this is one of the core Catholic callings. It's IN THE FREAKING GOSPEL. It's why charity works without *judgement* is a key trait. Screenshot is from Bible Gateway, using the New International Version (I have **issues**) with the other "popular" version

If it's in the feed, jetpens suggests using Douyou as a remover! Haven't tried this myself yet.

"But surely you don't carry so many pens in one bag."

Listen, my inspiration requires colour coordination. That's it.

Things I have learnt today - even mechanical keyboards can get dusty with everyday use. Spent the night removing keycaps, vacuuming the board, using cotton buds to remove dust between the switches, then a damp cloth to wipe the sides of the keycaps. Satisfied.

And that's it! Thanks for following the recap, if you were. No real photos to share from our last day because it was a bunch of strawberry shopping and more souvenir stuff.

I'll leave you instead with this very pretty Calla Lily we saw on a walk at our hotel after we came home from dinner.
May 19, 2025 at 3:18 PM
For dinner, we decided to have Thai. Specifically this one place down the road from Mr Aisu that the hubs had scouted on Google Maps. And yes, we over ordered again because we didn't realise how big the portions would be.

Wan Wan Aroy Thai felt like one of those "secret locals' places"

We went back to the hotel to rest because we both did not like the look of the clouds, and we did a bit more research on where the night market *actually* was. Then we stopped at this dessert place called Mr Aisu to just chillax and enjoy life. This is what I had. Affogato and croffle.

After we did the obligatory souvenir shopping (choices were very limited, I'm a little annoyed haha) we decided to just have lunch there. This is part of what I had (scones is an injoke food at Cameron Highlands) but I have to ask... WHY DO YOU SERVE IT WITH CHEESE, BOH?
May 19, 2025 at 3:14 PM
As I said earlier, we missed the 1140am tour by a minute or so. No worries cause after the whole walk up (this was before we discovered I had probably low Sp02 levels so I was out of breath a lot) I wanted to rest. And so we waited.

Tour itself was fascinating - the process was very speeded up.

After the call, it was time to do touristy things! So we went to the Boh Tea Plantation. Please note: the road was EXTREMELY TIGHT and barely enough for two cars. Be sure of your driving skills before attempting.

The views were *very pretty* though. Not the people mountain tho
May 19, 2025 at 3:14 PM
Went back to the hotel and decided to splurge on coffee in the hotel's coffee house before the hubs' call. Again, KL prices but holy hell the portion was not. Hand to scale - this would have been easily double in KL.
May 19, 2025 at 3:14 PM
As hubs had to take a work call later, we opted to eat at the tourist trap nearby called Kea Farms. Here, have a food court catto. It later came up to me to ask for food but I had to tell it no.

No pics of food cause it was ok only. KL prices for what was essentially nasi lemak with bulls' eye.

The hotel we stayed in was in one of the highest spots on the mountain, which meant waking up to views like this.

Peninsular peeps might recognise the name Equatorial. In Cameron Highlands it is now known as Copthorne.

Currently throwing prices on Agoda but check reviews before going.

By day, it's a regular kopitiam, the kind that serves noodles, toast bread, kopi etc. By night, it serves a kickass hotpot.

This is what it looked like as it was cooking. The beancurd skin you see floating in the mutton belly side comes with the soup. Oh, and did I mention? The collagen porridge was sweet, but it was the kind that came from the herbs used, not from adding sugar.
May 19, 2025 at 2:45 PM
Same bowl, ten minutes later, with the collagen porridge. Oh gods after the richness of the mutton belly soup, this was perfect. It was refreshing, clear, and warming all at one. The two were the perfect pair, and this was one of the few times I wanted more bowls because all I wanted was soup.
May 19, 2025 at 2:45 PM
So, what does it look like when it's cooked? The mutton belly in the soup is cooked so well, the meat falls off the bone while remaining tender.

And these kinds of soups tend to be best served spicy because that adds a layer of flavour (that is NOT pain) but even this non-spicy version is muakz!😘
