Knew the guy who owned ArtByAI dot com.

He was an artist.

Those were his initials.

(I have two of his paintings in my office!)

Neither of those things are a barrier to graphic novel stardom.

it's illegal to choose to live under a bridge, and it's illegal to get forced into it. it's illegal to be too sad or unlucky to keep your life together. just illegal to be alive if you don't go shopping

Back in high school I had a Very Early-Career Dar Williams month...and unfortunately only learned about Dar Williams' music two months after it ended.

I feel like if I'd had access to "What Do You Hear in These Sounds?" when I really needed it I'd be much better-adjusted in middle age.

Some friends and I had a Hackers watch party on
April 30, 2021.

...1337 weeks after it was released.

My sister used to host pub trivia.

It would've presented the appearance of impropriety for my girlfriend and I to compete for prizes but we still wanted to support her.

So we played as "Team Auditing this Course for No Credit".

As an 11-year-old I thought that particular prayer was the most badass thing ever.

It'd be weird if you HAD managed to do multiple game-free 2025s...

Sometimes a character gets a local detail wrong and I think "That person is a SPY!" before remembering that Christmas romcoms are rarely Encyclopedia Brown mysteries and the screenwriter probably has no idea that our beloved high school mascot is specifically a blue armadillo NAMED "Red Armadillo".

We'd just settled in for a quiet fancy-pizza-and-Mandolorian date night when my daughter announced that, screw everybody's plans, she was gonna get born NOW.

(We stuck the pizza in the freezer and all three of us watched the episode a month or so later.)

And there is no shortage of cultural betrayals/atrocities for them to gloss over in the name of national myth and/or pie selection.

Does it have pockets?

One of my favorite things about cardigans (and bathrobes) is that they often provide extra pockets.

How about original poetry about 21st century life in the style of old Burma-Shave ads?

Tip to all: When people feel the need to add "be specific" or "give examples" it's best to ignore them for the wannabe Charlie Kirk-ass circus clowns they are and move on.

It's basically the "Clever Boy DESTROYS Dum-Dum Student!!!" YouTube setup from people too uncharismatic for actual YouTube.

My kids have "We Don't Talk About Bruno" in a dozen languages and want to hear them in a very specific order that is, unfortunately, not the one in which they are presented on the album.
