Sorry, I don't even go here
This should be the first movie a person watches.

And I never ever ever ever thought any film could fit that type of statement. But this was mesmerizing in every way. It's functional. It's... it's remarkable.

A ★★★★★ review of Man with a Movie Camera (1929)
Overjoyed. I legitimately don't know how else to explain this viewing experience. It's legitimately gobsmacking how much this film exposes. About life, creation, maintenance, endurance, all this while...

I, Deborah Downward, could not help myself but feel challenged by SNL50's bolstering of celebs who petitioned to get Jonathan Glazer banned from the Oscars for mentioning Israel's intensifying entrapment and occupation of Palestine.

Pedro, though... I forgot my morals #snl #palestine boxd.it/8SPym3
A review of SNL50: The Anniversary Special (2025)
Thank you for coming to Diana Budget's Double Down on Debbie Downer!!! "Make the best of it Palestinians, the Jews have been getting wrongly kicked out of places too, so must you. Cope. Israel is enor...

If you talk down AI and you also engage on Insta, FB, X, or Reddit...... oh my we have bad news for you.

I'm currently re-training a software for *giant corporation* which creates fake accounts and writes product reviews on other websites. This software has been active since 2019.

Zone of Interest. 20 Days in Mariopol. The Act of Killing.

Don't mind me, just putting a counter-propaganda playlist together for my next trip to see my American family.

Let's not forget Jonathan Glazer tried to speak on Israel's crimes at the Oscars but was practically blacklisted.

A ★★★★½ review of The Zone of Interest (2023)
I appreciate that this film can only be effective in a world that is aware of the atrocities that human history has to offer us. Although with films like this and Oppenheimer reigning in the same year...

12 years of photographs, screenshots, and videos..... all on Google Storage. The payments stop today.

Google search is trash anyways, I feel late to this "growing" phase.

At a snobby level (albeit forgiving) and a general movie-goer level, I think Companion kinda rocked.

I think it was the "celebrating a Guantanamo holding facility for 30k" that did it for me. Or maybe the "drill baby drill."

Whatever it was, you won't catch a shred of kindness from me if you embrace anti-intellectualism. Grow up and keep learning or go die in silence.

In case you are on the fence about seeing DICKS: The Musical -

Three time Tony Award-winning actor Nathan Lane screams "I want that pussy" at a woman in a wheelchair shortly after spitting chewed deli meat onto a puppet.

Do with that what you will.

I knew my favorite supplier of Magic Tree House was one of those morally correct dealers 🤟
Scholastic Books comes to its senses! Great news.

Read banned books. Support banned authors. Drive the book banners into the sea.

Some of the best French-language cinema this year is pouring out of Quebec. Passages, Les Chambres Rouges, and Solo are three award-worthy 2023 films that you are likely missing out on.
PASSAGES is streaming on MUBI, starring the fearless Franz Rogowski, Adèle Exarchopoulos, and Ben Whishaw.

For @ebertvoices, I asked Ira Sachs about his sensual, free, exhilaratingly honest exploration of sexual desire, possibility, and experience: www.rogerebert.com/interviews/i...

#poetry I only recently learned that poetry is not meant to be read traditionally.

Rather, it's read patiently and with attention to what each word elicits. Use the words to draw a picture, in a way.

Figured I'd share. So here's a poem about shitty feelings :)

@geeofffree.bsky.social Perfect Days is a slice-of-life masterpiece, yes it's legitimately a masterpiece, which acts as an instruction manual for how to enjoy meditative cinema. This movie wants to grow gratitude, and it's unforgettable. Highly recommend if you need a reason to smile or cry today.

This remarkable and weird film is creeping into the film festival circuit with minimal marketing and leaving theaters completely baffled. My theater was packed, but only maybe 15 of us laughed until we were in pain on repeat. Short scenes = the future.

"So I came on her degree."
"That makes sense."
