I really liked Jack Doohan, and I feel for him. He's another with some big generational shoes to fill. I respect anyone that runs toward the psychological head wind of having a GOAT for a dad. Takes stones. Shit, I would have stayed clear and told dad I wanted to be a been a dentist. #alpinef1

Also, my previous concerns about my guitar instructor continue, but I can't say that I'm not learning things, or that I have not seen and improvement to my musicianship.

I wish PRS guitars didn't look like such dentist's dogshit.

I also wish a Fender Coronado wasn't $3k.

Which is to say, I think I'm narrowing in on what I actually want to do with the guitar as a hobby. I heart metal ( Dio be praised \m/ )...

So I have thrown myself back into the guitar. I'm taking lessons again, and while I've got a *lot* of reservations about my instructor...this has been the most productive 3 months I've ever had with regard to musicianship or mastery. It's been brutal, but I'm giving him six months.

So I guess I should start contributing around this joint.

My wife and I are house hunting at the moment, and so crammed into a tiny apartment to basically over-winter. That means all my normal hobbies have been placed on hold, in storage.

It's fine, I guess. We're squirreling it away.

I haven't really engaged with social media in a long time. I'm old enough to remember Live Journal. Frankly, it's been all downhill from there.

Now get off my lawn.

As of yesterday, it's now officially "the holidays". Time to get that bottle of Korbel out from the back of the pantry. It's got work to do.
