My fear is this place becomes Gab for low-info high-partisanship Dem accounts who already have serious echo-chambers on Twitter/X and the fact that the ugliest people from that ecosystem all seem to be moving here worries me.

That law is surprisingly little known despite being controversial in Israel. The expansion not too long ago was up to towns of 800 I think? That barely got reported on compared to the original.

You know, you really should do a bit more research before pontificating. I'm not going to vote 3rd party. The Greens are full of Assadists. The Libertarians are even more full of neo-Nazis than the GOP. I don't need your lecture.

The sheer number of people proving they don't have any real values are depressing me. How bloody hard is it to say "hey war crimes are bad"? And yet...

I've lost count of the number of generic "Resist" accounts I've seen glorifying violence and war crimes against Palestinians out of ignorance and racism. Pro-Ukraine figures whitewashing the same war crimes Russia commits. They don't have principles, just sides, just like the right.

The violence in the West Bank is not getting nearly enough attention. Settlers are rampaging, the IDF is discarding professionalism to do the same, villages are being displaced, and more than a dozen have died in a few days.
It's a tinderbox waiting to spark.

The IDF seems to not be confirming things, but then in that CBS piece the IDF is? Oren Ziv from +972 said no soldiers mentioned it when he was touring the site, but then others claim they've seen photos. It's such an incomprehensible mess right now. Biden confirmed it then walked it back.

I don't really want to argue about this since it seems irrelevant to the fact an atrocity occurred, but apparently Biden was just parroting what he'd heard.

I think the anti-Palestinian incitement is a significantly larger issue, mostly because it's held by far more influential mainstream figures, but your outright denial that people are posting that garbage is indefensible. They are.
