I finally got to read Helen of Wyndhorn, and my god @tomking.bsky.social, @bilquis.bsky.social, @matlopes.bsky.social, and @claytoncowles.bsky.social did it again. A gorgeous book from cover to cover. The only complaint I have is that it ends. Books like this are why I love comics.

Just finished Descender, and truthfully, I don't know how someone could think that Jeff Lemire isn't one of the best comic writers out there today. The dude cooks so incredibly hard. (And of course, Dustin Nguyen's art is just stunning)

Peter David's original Spider-Man 2099 run is what got middle school me to fall in love with comics. I fundamentally wouldn't be who I am without this man's work. Obviously I didn't know him personally, but I know this world is worse off without him in it. Rest in peace, Peter.

Finally read the Demon Bear storyline from The New Mutants. Some stories become iconic for a reason, and this is one of them. Claremont was on fire at this time for sure, but this comic doesn't get its classic status without the brilliant art by Bill Sienkiewicz. Stunning work.

I just finished Nocterra by @ssnyder1835.bsky.social and Tony S. Daniel and man what a special series. These 3 volumes have given me something to keep looking forward to these past few years and I delayed reading vol. 3 until now because I didn't want it to end. I love this comic so much, man.

Name a Video Game Soundtrack you can listen to on repeat! There are soundtracks I overall "prefer," but I listen to the Old Gods of Asgard/Chapter songs from Alan Wake 2 CONSTANTLY. It's a problem.

I spent a long time planning a speaker build for class, and finally cutting everything and seeing the dry fit come together without needing recuts was an amazing feeling. Can't wait to finish these up.
