Trying to understand how everything works.

If you see something you don't like, assume it's a random shower thought rather than a deeply held belief. ☕
People shouldn't need to cross the channel, we need safe routes and an assessment process that doesn't leave them warehoused for months.

And if someone comes here and makes a life for themselves, in whose interests is it to throw them out again after they've been here for a decade+?

But the Home Secretary putting out videos saying that it's a huge problem that people are coming here, making out that they're doing it illegally, and massively raising the bar for refugees to settle here - and to have so-called centrists approving of this - isn't a success for them?

What do they want to do?

The far right are delighted that the Labour party, that they hate, are enacting far right policies. When your enemy is doing the things you'd do to try to appease you, you're winning.

This kind of policy only works because a lot of people have swallowed a lot of right wing lies.

They're hardly "applauding Labour", though - they hate Labour. They see pushing Labour to the right as a stepping stone to power, and they're right.

They're loving it.
November 17, 2025 at 11:25 AM
Where should they go?
November 17, 2025 at 11:14 AM
Why are all possessions confiscated?

Labour are essentially saying that the people doing the attacking are correct. These are not people who will be placated, giving ground will simply result in more demands. Far right ringleaders are literally celebrating that they've won the argument and that they can now push further.

What "unrest on our streets"? The far right rallies?
November 17, 2025 at 10:30 AM
This is literal Nazi stuff. Are they just trying to be as overtly unpleasant as possible?
November 17, 2025 at 10:29 AM
They're laying the groundwork for Reform by completely submitting to their framing. The far right are absolutely delighted.
November 17, 2025 at 10:24 AM
The far right are delighted. This shift towards the rhetoric and imagery of fascism and the building of the systems required for mass deportations will allow them to hit the ground running.

Did you not see this truth-twisting, nightmarish Orwellian broadcast?

On Monday, Shabana Mahmood will announce an overhaul of the asylum system, here’s why ⬇️

Perhaps they're unofficial?

Their entire model hinges on the idea of persuading an imaginary citizen who holds the average position that they're on his side.

They're going to tear this country apart by trying to impress people who don't even exist. It's infuriating.
November 16, 2025 at 10:58 AM
Apparently we're "daring to be unashamed of ourselves," which is nice!

I can't imagine a less ashamed bunch of people, but OK 🤷🏻‍♂️
November 15, 2025 at 10:58 AM
That would be great, but I doubt it.

I think Labour want to be this way and they're using Reform as an excuse.
