Kodak’s Shirley Cards made white skin the default, leaving Black and brown people underexposed. Ann Arbor City Council works the same way: policies calibrated for whiteness, then surprise when Black folks disappear from the picture. That’s systemic racism. #a2council #a2BlackClimate

Can #a2council justify the expense of operating two (2) golf courses in the city limits?
116 acres of land close to highways, schools, shopping bus lines and hospitals could be put to much better use.
BTW, 1925 Ann Arbor wasn't the most equitable place for housing.

Staying warm by the gaslight.

What percentage of the City's over $600 million budget is spent with Black owned business?

#a2council Honest question for the planners, professors & policy experts:
When a developer donates to most of Council, then wins approval for a project that sends millions in public support back their way—what do we call that?
“Smart growth” or quid pro quo with better branding?

In developing the CLUP, what rubrics, metrics, or decision trees were used to quantify and address Ann Arbor's racist housing history—or was this all just performative lip service?

Cool, cool. Just point me to the page in the CLUP where it addresses redlining and the wealth stolen from Black families. I’ll wait.
