We remember Ayyankali on his 162nd birth anniversary as one of the most fearless leaders who challenged caste oppression in Kerala. Ayyankali taught us that the road to equality and justice is not given but rather, claimed through unyielding courage, resistance and solidarity.

We remember Phoolan devi, on her birth anniversary as a Bahujan woman who defied oppressive structures of caste and patriarchy with unparalleled boldness.

With scarce funding, Dalit feminist led organisations struggle to sustain and expand their work. The report highlights structural challenges in philanthropy that reinforce caste hierarchies and actively calls for intersectionality in decision-making.
