The Global Campaign for Dalit Women is a self-led initiative that aims to empower caste-marginalized women to pursue strategies that ensure dignity, safety, access, and justice.
For the Madigas, the Dappu is more than a drum. Once tied to caste labour, it became a tool of assertion, resistance, and solidarity. Even today, its beats carry memory and dignity—an enduring act of reclamation against centuries of oppression.
