Red bananas. I see this as a sign someone think it's already time to make us used to them in advance of the time when the default banana will become as rare and expensive as its predecessor, for the same reason.
They're fine, but of course there's not the same outside signs of when it's time to eat.

First time I read this I thought it was badly edited with things described as happening in different orders. Now that I re-read it I see nothing like that. I don't think I used to be so much worse at reading that I would be confused by sidequests and flashbacks so I wonder what's changed.

My favourite photo from Cité du Train, Mulhouse, France, because one of the staff opened the door so I didn't have to photograph through glass.

1 2. Last time I was exactly here, IRL, wasn't long ago and because I made a slight navigation mistake.
3 4. I don't like real narrow roads like this even in a small car.

Photo from my most recent visit to Hälleskogsbrännan, the site of the largest recorded forest fire in Swedish history.
Most of the fire area is set aside as a reserve and will be regrow on its own through several stages until its final form, far in the future.

Bombardier Regina X51 in Hallsberg, Sweden, later in the winter another year.
I like that these take full advantage of the loading gauge so 2 + 3 seating is quite practical.

The unpoiwered but tilting end of the Swedish high speed (well, that is what 200 km/h was when they were new) train. (Other end unit is power only, no passengers and only with driving axles.)

SJ Z70 locomotor during switching in Örnsköldsvik, Sweden. It's radio controlled by the man riding on the step.
Built in 1966 by KVAB, rebuilt (as a prototype) to Z70 (RR to Scania, gear box, radio control, brakes) in 1990.
333kW diesel, 34 tons, max speed 70 km/h.
Probably in service.
