Watching this gorgeous little Tricolored Heron nab minnows made me smile. The minnows, not so much; poor fishies were fleeing as if from a T-Rex, which the bird is from their POV. So much of life depends on your perspective! #birds

The Great Backyard Bird Count (GBBC) is next weekend, February 14 - 17. It's a worldwide citizen science project that occurs twice a year. Birders of all abilities are welcome.
