I’m excited to have some of my game zines in such great company at the @plusoneexp.bsky.social table for the South Street Fall Festival today.
An outdoor booth with three different types of tables, all covered with a huge assortment of Indie rpg publications produced and published by plus one XP, including a generous assortment from all of the talented artists and designers in Philadelphia.

We had a great time last weekend at the #pittsburghartbookfair
A sidewalk sandwich board sign advertising the Pittsburgh art book fair with very stylish design choices. Looking down you see a large stone room lined with colonnades, holding up the balcony on which you’re standing, and a giant skylight drops soft sunlight on a hall beneath. The room is full of booths and tables selling in the publications. The gather around projects table from the Pittsburgh art book fair is covered with zines and posters and prints by a range of Artist. The Vernal Pool Press booth at the Pittsburgh art fair is full of amazing posters and fine artist books.

I finally got my physical copy of #Oddfolk by @snaxwell and I’m really enjoying everything I’ve seeing in the system. And the design is lovely use of page spreads.
A zine sitting on the table, the title reads oddfolk, and it’s a brightly colored image collage out of medieval and early Renaissance painting and engraving. The same oddfolk zine in the last picture but all of the inserts, called Kit, are spread out across the table. They look outrageous and glorious.

Lately, I have found myself saying, ‘hang in there’, in the space a normal person might say, ‘have a good one’ or ‘take care!’ And I’ve recently added, ‘I’m hanging in there’ where it is usually occupied with an ‘I’m good, thanks.’ It’s become almost reflexive.

If you haven’t seen it, I found the Jack Whitten show at MoMA deeply inspiring. What a legend.
A white frame on a white wall holds a print. The print is Black and White. It contains contradictions. There is a strong sense that a powdery black pigment was squeegee across it surface, maybe from top to bottom maybe from left or right? At the same time the image captures what seems like the shallow shadows on the surface of water. The actual sheet of paper is perfectly flat so it feels like there are layers of illusion and energy being captured.

Just got a very exciting box from the printer. The next scene bundle of Tidings should be ready soon.
A cardboard box about the size of a shoe box is sitting on a desk in the sun. Taped to the top of the box is the cover of the next issue of tidings, just arrived from the Printer. It features the title text which says tidings and a fantastical, looking vehicle depicted in hues of turquoise, pink and violet. Sitting on the desk, you can just see the corners of the poster scenes from that bundle.

Hello #portfolioday
I’m a printmaker and illustrator and maker of small books. Most of my work focuses on architecture, cityscapes, and strange mundane objects.

The road is disrupted by some previous construction that was not so much fixed as filled, someone has spray painted an ‘X’ in a box on top of it. A photo found online of a giant snapping-type turtle sitting in a wetlands. Its back is covered in dirt and grasses.It’s looks like it has emerged from the earth. A sidewalk and a brick wall frames tow traffic cones, one has fallen over. Cables of various kinds hang down.

I found these pages from a comics anthology i contributed to years ago. It was like seeing a long forgotten old friend.

Something about the chaos in Washington reminds me of this piece I made a few years ago. It was inspired by watching a library get demolished.
