Chances are a character has no experience with this stuff, so it's gonna scare the crap out of them. So when you're writing a character like that, what if you take the action out of your writing structure and drop it more like a bomb randomly in your story, letting the debris fall where it may? 3/3

Not that you should only put the pressure on characters, but that you should treat action scenes with the gravity in which they happen in a day to day life. If you're a superhero, it's part of the job. If you're a normal person, it's unexpected and terrifying. 2/3

I like cozy fiction where we get to see characters develop as friends, and when there is conflict, it's resolved through understanding rather than action scenes. I like cozy fiction because with constant action, I don't know the character enough to know if I like them.

I know girls can have all these things too, but lesbians are hot in a way different to boys.

Like I can totally see a world where Bonnie got back with Marceline because she was lonely and Marceline was sorry, but Bonnie drew boundaries that were tougher than the last time as a defensive wall and it gave Marcy the ick.

To me it kind of feels like with the impossible ages of the pair of them over the centuries, this wasn't their only relationship and it wasn't their only break up, or even necessarily their last. To me they always seemed like they find one another because the other one is *there*.
