Forcing AI on to employees is the norm for companies nowadays. Employees can't speak out against it directly, because doing so would negatively impact their performance review or perceived cultural fit, when layoffs in tech are also common.

As a Canadian, I just wish I could interact anywhere online without being inundated by the minutiae of American politics, things happening in another country. Distant forces and algorithms dictate what my brain thinks about. Maybe only a total monkish retreat from modernity could turn it off.

Imagine if we got money back from the tech corps every time our phones lied to us. Either we'd all be rich, or our phones would stop lying. Either outcome seems preferable to our current reality.
