Did you know that WordPress theme.json, block.json and other *.json files have their reference schema files which allow your code editor to autocomplete and lint the syntax? Simply add a $schema element to the top of the JSON content and let the editor do the job.

If you use ubuntu-latest in your GitHub workflow to push your plugin to the WordPress.org repo when you make a new release, you’ll soon need to install subversion when ubuntu-latest points to ubuntu-24.04 as that has had SVN removed.

You can append `_pretty=true` to #WordPress REST API requests, and the server will return a pretty printed JSON response. This is handy if you want to inspect requests in the browser.

I am currently finding it hard to contribute to WordPress core. My favourite about WordPress is the community,but at the moment it feel fractured and there are lots of people missing. It makes me really sad, as thing community and software is a big part of my life.Without it, something feels missing
