Democratic troubles revive debate over left-wing buzzwords
From “intersectionality” to “equity,” many say jargon is alienating key voters. But progressives say inclusive language is vital.

The story people tell themselves for absolution.

“The death of his daughter, Peter told me, was God’s will. God created measles. God allowed the disease to take his daughter’s life. ‘Everybody has to die,’
he said.”
"The vaccination has stuff we don't trust," said the father of the 6-year-old girl who died from measles at the end of last month. Tom Bartlett visited with a family confronting an unthinkable tragedy:

A key, decades-old conservative insight is that people like most of what government does, so their only hope of victory is to relentlessly abstract away from anything specific to "government" or "spending" or "bureaucracy," empty linguistic vessels into which they can more easily pour bile.

Dear manager, this week I acheived these goals.

1: I wrote a bullet point.

2: I wrote a second, equally clever bullet point.

3: Building on prior successful bullet points, I developed and implemented a third bullet point.

4: I drafted, edited and published a 4th bullet.

5: Egged a cybertruck

In detective shows (even the good ones) love how suspects/witnesses interviewed in the field continue doing their tasks.

Latest: Teen boy is interviewed about burying a newborn. Learns his girlfriend almost died from the birth.

He continues changing a tire.

There are no lines at the Shoreline Costco.

Also, the snack center (hot dogs, pizza) is closed for renovation.

These two things may be related.

If you wanted more waste, fraud, and abuse, you would fire them.

This boycott isn’t going so well. Still a wait for the $1.50 hotdog and gas.
ICYMI — Since Costco 🫡 isn’t backing down (like other corporations did), professional right-wing agitators are not happy and want a boycott. www.fastcompany.com/91253805/cal...

Great. Mr. Transparency will release Trump’s tax returns.
🚨 SCOOP: DOGE is seeking personal taxpayer data at IRS, sources tell me. 🚨

Trump admin is pushing IRS to agree to an MOU that would give DOGE access to granular data on every taxpayer, business and nonprofit in the country.

Once again:

Things were cheaper under Trump than Biden.

Under Obama than Trump.

Under Dubya than Obama.

Under Clinton than Bush.

Etc.

Campaign’s over. Drop the b.s. or have it shoved in your face as prices rise, which they will unless there’s a depression.

Then you can “celebrate.”
