Designing Transport for Humans, Not Econs - By Pete Dyson & Rory Sutherland - Behavioral Scientist
It’s common to hear that transport providers are “simply getting people from A to B”: a low-bar ambition that misses the real purpose of much travel.

That's the same language he uses when he fails to condemn Israel. Clearly he doesn't want to upset or stand up to McSweeney.

That third option is non-viable and non-sustainable. You can't have an ever expanding economy. Eventually you run out planet. The belief that we can is a variant of neoliberal myth of trickle down wealth.

Reduce overall drug consumption by taking the profit out of drug dealing. Natonalise county lines.

Well done. A good years work resulting in solid acheivement. Put your feet up. Zack Polanski will take it from here.

The same tack on stopping the boats would work to take back border control from criminal gangs.

I think tweaking the angle to taking the illegal drugs trade away from criminals might reach a broader demographic.

Heartening that middle england people reject racial bigotry..but sad that they embrace the narrative of laziness as the primary cause of poverty. Tax the rich and they think it'll catch them too. Most people seem to not understand just how rich some people are. Nor how they they got so rich.

Nothing whatsoever to do with proposing proscription of the IDF as a terrorist organisation. The BBC is fearless in the face of the Israel lobby an scrupulously even handed.

Important to say: the title of the motion doesn't reflect the content, as mentioned in the debate - even by the proposer. It's about holding landlords to far greater account, and working towards far more equitable housing ownership without a profit motive. Having lodgers isn't affected.

They're rubbish, but it's not just them. Labour, Like Tories, lib Dems and god help us ReformUKltd have been captured by neoliberal dogma. Wealth owns them. They exist to serve it.

Whitehall doesn’t trust local government. Restricting and metro mayors are for Whitehall’s convenience and to make it easier to deliver its agenda, not rebuilding local democracy. Pride in Place is significant because it talks about “communities” rather than local government.

1 point which often gets overlooked is that it's important that every income level, from the bottom to the top pays tax. Tax is our subscription to society. If only the rich pay tax then the rich will think only they can have a say on public spending. Taking the poor out of tax is counterproductive.
