1,000 people willing to defend my freedom and yours prevented from doing so just because a swath of this country is unable to see their fellow citizens as full people. Disgusting and harmful for our national defense. Where are my “free speech/expression no matter what” people on the right at?!
WASHINGTON (AP) — Up to 1,000 openly identifying transgender troops will be moved out of the military immediately under new Pentagon order.

Crazy coincidence! It's almost like, and forgive me for the terse language, that the SecDef is a white nationalist?
Adolf Hitler's “Mein Kampf” is still on U.S. Naval Academy shelves. “I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings” and “Memorializing the Holocaust” are not.

An order by Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth’s office led to a purge of books that are critical of racism — but preserved volumes defending white power.

I absolutely love(hate) that Senate Democrats continue to think they're playing 3-dimensional chess when in fact they are the zoologist in the animal enclosure having shit thrown at them. It's not that hard: vote no on cloture. 99% of Americans don't even know what that is! They won't blame the dems

Just called @fetterman.senate.gov to insist that he vote NO on this CR. It's time to stand up, Dems. Not the time to play dead and hope the attacking animals stop.
Call your Dem senators right now- urge them to vote NO on the continuing resolution. GOP needs 8 Dems to vote yes and so far only Fetterman secured. They Republicans have made the choice to shut down the govt by putting forth this horrible plan. Dems cannot be complicit in passing this. 202-224-3121

It’s fucking pathetic and unAmerican that the Dipshit-in-chief is choosing the side of a certified monster in Vladimir Putin over Ukraine and the fight for sovereignty and freedom. All because it makes him money and makes him feel like a big man as the world laughs behind his back

Dems are so much worse than Repubs at basic messaging in the 21st century. @aoc.bsky.social is the best dem communicator BY FAR and it’s not particularly close.

Nihilism is a choice just like hope is a choice. It's easy to feel like nothing matters, or nothing will change. It inevitably will, one way or another. The difference is: the hopeful one might never see their day in the light but believe the sun will come up. The nihilist refuses to see the light

I miss playing some pickup b-ball. Are there good spots in #Philadelphia for weekend games?

It is absolutely insane how right-wing Twitter has become. I have consistently been a lefty-follower on that platform, but if I login today, the whole feed is setting me up to be the next incel right-winger. Crazy how Elon is allowed to bend the narrative like that.

This article is indicative of a much larger problem: Democratic politicos are committed to losing tactics and ignore input from people on the ground, talking to people day after day. The biggest indictment in here is when they mention that organizers were spamming potential volunteer
How Alarmed Harris Staffers Went Rogue to Reach Black and Latino Voters
Worried that the campaign was neglecting voters of color in Philadelphia and other battleground cities, organizers secretly gathered at a Dunkin’ Donuts and elsewhere to get out the vote.

Let's give this platform a go. Movie take for the first post: saw Gladiator 2 and I'd give it a solid B. Action scenes were great (minus CGI animals)! Plot was ok but fell into the same trap as The Force Awakens by being too close to the original. The politics of the plot will age....interestingly.
