Just watched @joannastern.bsky.social's AI-made film (she used 1000 AI clips to keep one robot's face straight!)

Tool stack Veo3, Runway, Midjourney + Suno and a lot of editing! Film: youtu.be/US2gO7UYEfY

Need to play around with this myself.

I used to laugh at the "em dash = AI" meme...

Now I’m convinced it’s a self-fulfilling prophecy:

Writers loved —, so AI copied it, then the crowd yelled “bot!”, so writers will now ditch it.

Why pay for search?

Because Google bombards you with ads & irrelevant results.

@kagi.com ($10/mo):

No ads.
No tracking.
Block annoying sites like Pinterest.
Create custom "lenses" to see only results you trust.

Simple trade: you pay $10, Kagi gives you the internet you actually want.

Swedish Armed Forces opts for Signal as a quick fix. A more strategic approach would ensure communications remain sovereign, interoperable, resilient, and secure.
Why the Swedish Armed Forces’ switch to Signal misses the mark
Genuine security requires a holistic approach that considers not just encryption but also data governance, accessibility, interoperability...

Something unusual is happening - during a risk-off period, the US dollar is weakening while the Euro strengthens.

Last time this happened was March 2020, as SaaS companies saw deal slowdowns and contract cancellations.

It proved SaaS isn’t immune to economic turmoil - it’s deeply connected!

Tested every alternative app. Winner? 👇

Stop wasting money on software subscriptions!

Word still has one-time purchase options, but big companies market monthly plans so well people forget.

And with free self-hosted alternatives like Mixpost (vs $120/yr Buffer), you could save $600 over 5 years.

Own your software, don't rent it.
I remember when you could just buy a computer program like Microsoft Word or Photoshop and just have it on your computer forever without having to pay monthly or yearly. What a time that was

Google is losing its grip.

In the UK, Google’s usage dropped from 86% to 83% in one year - that’s 1.8 million fewer users per month! 🤯

Why?

Because people are trying new things. Reddit is booming, and young people are searching on TikTok and ChatGPT.

LinkedIn is THE BEST one currently.

Clubhouse failed.

Mastodon failed.

Threads - text extension of Instagram.

And now BlueSky? - I really doubt it will survive... 🤷‍♂️
