I ride bikes, write books about riding bikes (We Rode All Day, Walko, Koblet & Kubler and soon - We Rode All Night), wrote for The Road Book in 2024, I run a recruitment agency (theexample.co.uk) and suffer Everton FC.

My first visit to HD last night (Trinity Bar) - the boy's first Everton home game too. From his reaction - not the last.

Thoughts - teething problems with ticketing, hopefully temporary. But I wish these tickets were always that price...

I love how Kemi Badenoch is now running comms for the Lib Dems.

They fix things. Their constituents like them. They're not on Twitter. They're in their communities.

All good for me. Thanks Kemi.

One for @cycologies.com here - is there any part of this extract that is factually correct? I'm struggling.

What can Labour or indeed any political party that isn't vaguely Nazi do about this total detachment from reality? It's like half the country is in another world. Or on Twitter. Or both.

This is how he gets people... he says something that is recognisably true - the food industrial complex and drug companies ARE killing people. You can't disagree.

And then he appoints a rabid nutcase who will do nothing about it & cause even more deaths. But it annoys the libs.

One of my favourite discoveries about the 1926 Tour is that it's the first time l'Humanite (the communist newspaper) followed the Tour.

And they really, really hated Ottavio Bottecchia. And oh yes, you bet I'm using this in the book.

Nobody needs a timeline cleanse any more, but sod that. This was my view last week. Slightly obscured by my thumb.

I had 9 months to write my piece for this year's Road Book, and I probably spent 8 of them on the first paragraph.

Which I ripped up and rewrote with a month to go.

Anyway, whatever. I'M IN IT YAY ME. And there are loads of other more important people like Mark Cavendish, Kasia Niewiadoma too.
