Collected the last peppers before the potential freeze tonight. After 10 years in TX I still find it odd that the first cold event doesn’t happen until Jan or Feb. And then probably in a week or so it will be back to 60’s and 70’s. That’s the sub-tropics for ya!

President Jimmy Carter has passed away at the age of 100. He was a symbol of what is best about America: kindness, compassion, duty and service. He will be missed, most of all by those who long for a return of that kind of country, led by a man with such strength of character.

The passion fruit vine was a new addition to the garden this year, it was supposed to be sterile. But I think it had other ideas, I’ve harvested many many yellow fruits. So many I had to freeze the pulp and seeds to save for later.
