She/her. Plant lady and bookworm. Going through life half blind, half deaf, and whole assed.
Hey all! This April, Frankie and I are walking 30 miles to raise money for the American Red Cross.
If you have a few bucks to spare, feel free to throw them at my Go Fund Me page:

Went on vacation for a week and came back to all my tulips in full bloom!
Had to share because I love how they seem to glow in the morning light.

I know there's a whole lot of crappy news and people struggling.
I'd like to throw some positive news in the timeline: today I walked the most steps since I broke my ankle back in December! Also managed to jump over a small creek!

Would these work? If anything, you could put a rock in the bottom to weigh it down more.

Oh! I have the best picture of him with one of the kittens from the other day I have to show you.

Yes, Frankie did join me on this adventure. He thought the water was delicious.

Here's a mossy waterfall I found when visiting Olympic National Park last year with family.

Sometimes, putting on TV your senior cat likes is more important than whatever show you were gonna watch.

Without downloading any pictures, where are you mentally?

Things just lined up perfectly. That was also the day Frankie saw deer for the first time.

I know it's kind of late, but I was going through a bunch of photographs I've taken over the years and was reminded that I'm not half bad at this.

That is if Frankie lets me up

Well, considering I'm laid up with my broken ankle through the end of the month, it's appropriate.

On December 18th I had surgery to repair all the damage. I ended up with two plates on my fibula to hold all the pieces together. They drilled through my tibia to use a cord to pull my syndesmosis joint back together. Plus a dozen or so screws to hold it all.

Realized I never gave an update after my initial broken ankle post.
Turns out I really did a number. Shattered the end of my fibula into 5-ish pieces, ruptured two ligaments, and disrupted a joint . This resulted in my ankle being completely unstable and essentially stuck dislocated.

I've dubbed almost all the weeping evergreen varieties as Dr. Seuss trees but weeping giant redwood, Sequoiadendron giganteum 'pendulum', and weeping blue atlas cedar, Cedrus atlantica 'Glauca Pendula', are two standouts.

A Merry Cruch-mas for me thus year 😔

Slipped, fell down a few stairs, and broke my ankle.

They have amazing markings. You don't see classic tabbies with the marble cake swirls as often

If anyone needs a bit of "aww" tonight, may I present my 17-year old cat Awol, curled up with one of our 7-month old kittens, Zim. Awol is the all gray, Zim is the tabby.
