I tweet into the abyss so that if I ever become (in)famous people will know where I stood.

Father, software dev guy, 3d printer nerd...

squatting on http://openhatemail.com which I'll probably never use because who needs that hatred
I'm really holding out for a multi-material #3dprinter my 10 year old #Printrbot is great but wearing out (and thin).

The #Bondtech #INDX system seems very very nice. I think I'll hold off buying myself an xmas present until after I see what is announced in 4 days!

Do you know what the blue line means? It seems to correlate with temperature. Is it the wet bulb temp? some sort of humidity indicator. There is no legend or documentation so it isn't clear

My partner came back from an Australian land and ground water (ALGA) conference with swag!

I thought this was a joke to start with but it is in fact a real playset!

My child was not as excited about it as I am.

Real question what does the blue line on the temperature chart mean Australian #BOM

I had not seen this!

Then I noticed a bunch of auto labels :) I'm currently deleting 22k of promotional emails, after spot checking a bunch of pages to get confidence that the label was good enough.

I told a dev I'm working with, how and where to resolve some defects they kept 'discovering' with a code change they are working on.

TLDR if you need to make the same change in MANY places then it is probably time to stop playing whack-a-mole and figure out what is going on

This is supposedly from a HR company supporting startups.

Low effort, reads like a scam.

Honestly if this is not a scam, provide more details about the job. Like what industry/area?

Otherwise yeah I'll continue to ignore you

Sure, my power plant has frequency -> active power control enabled. It definitely follows the specified droop curve.

Meanwhile a plot shows... absolutely no response #powersystems

To do this the state gov carved this area out of all existing planning laws. The minister of the day became the sole decision maker for what was allowed, no right for community to appeal.

Worth keeping in mind when we find out that this is happening at a larger scale www.afr.com/property/res...

Wikipedia has the receipts! 000 was excluded from the standard monitoring.

Broken for over 13 hours. At least 5 people called Optus to tell them it was broken. Horrible stuff

This is incredibly niche, currently working on frequency - active power droop curves for power plant behaviour validation. This is a wind farm plot.

Everytime I look at these i think something like this...

My 6 year made this! Stories almost writes themselves

School book week and 6 year old loves dog man books!

I've read one a night this whole year. Unfortunately he isn't sure about the home made costume.

Still had fun making it together

I used to work at Lonely Planet back when they were owned by the Wheeler family.

Had hopes of using some of these when I moved to the US of A for a bit (didn't).

Useless now, suppose I should toss em out

As a software developer who has worked on large scale systems. I get that bundled notifications poses issues. That said #slack has solved that for email notifications, they have literally solved this problem.

So why not allow bundled notifications for desktop notifications?

some much suck

I'm in a private slack channel with 1 other person and this message appears.

Does anyone get value from this shit? Anyone?

Painting up a pirate #battletech lance I'm calling OWLs (Once were Lyrans). Still have to base them up and paint the victor I let the little fella play with.

The 3d printed hex bases came out okay and are great for the old Iron Wind metal pieces but are a little awkward to paint.

For giggles I've started thanking my partner 'for her tribute' when she puts money into the shared account (home loan offset).

I don't think I want to stop, especially now that she has said it's creepy.

I may be naive but the updates for this Calculator application seem... unrelated to a calculator!

Can't be bothered investigating, I'll just delete it

I'm not gonna say a Shadow Hawk with artillery and a Davy Crocket is a good idea in #BTA3062... actually it is. It is a very good idea.

How could I pass up a tactical nuke when window shopping? I couldn't and if you have a nuke. Eventually you need to use the nuke.

Penultimate scene

Margo: Aren't you going to kiss her good bye?

Jack: [long pause, staring at an exceptionally beautiful woman] No.

[Turns around and walks out]

Like this film is amazing 😍

As a kid I thought Jack was the hero an adult viewing changes things.

Trying to book a campsite at an on-demand location and there must be a better process!

New sites aren't even released for another 50 mins so my guess is I'll be doing this more than once
June 29, 2025 at 11:10 PM
Note to self, $USD5.00 was in fact. Not enough to convince an open source maintainer to cut a new release...

Maybe next time I'll try for $USD10.00

Looking at creating a Content Security Policy and I'm assuming IE refers to Microsoft Edge. Which currently sits at 5.35% of the internet.

Honestly that level of broken shouldn't be accepted but it is MicroViolence so what are you going to do... #devlife

There is an article that I wanted to read enough that I'm willing pay $1.00 I may have regretted it pretty quickly....

However the #newscorpse website is so shite they won't even take my money (their editorial is about the same quality)

Was 2025 supposed to be like this?
