On Dec 6, 1969 the Rolling Stones' free concert at Altamont Speedway turned violent when Hells Angels clashed with some of the 300,000 fans. 18 year old Meredith Hunter was fatally stabbed, marking the tragic end of the 60s hippy era. Hear more on our epic Stones podcast.
