I did consider that but the engine was screaming away, shredding the tyres and bouncing off the rev limiter for at least 30 seconds, would have thought it would have been a lot sooner until it conked out (I couldn’t see how it ended as I moved well out of the way).

Either that or they panicked, it was almost certainly an auto due to how they were holding their brakes before they set off. Just surprised that both a massive side and then front impact didn’t seem to cut fuel, it was burning the front tyres for 30 seconds at least.

If I remember right that’s a model where you can daisy chain multiple CD and MD changers (up to 10 or something insane) and operate them from the head unit.

Worst manual box I’ve ever used (ignoring condition) is the MK3 Megane diesel, by far. I would take anything over it, even the worn-out box in my mate’s old 6th-generation Canter double cab recovery truck.

Driven a few 306/406s with BE boxes and they’re really good. Basic 306 1.4 felt very similar to a Focus MK1 box.
