𝐀𝐥𝐢𝐞𝐧: 𝐑𝐨𝐦𝐮𝐥𝐮𝐬: I'm a simple man who likes to see hubristic humans get ripped apart by Aliens, and once again I got exactly what I asked for. It comes in 𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘣𝘢𝘣𝘭𝘺 at my third favorite Alien movie now. 1/2

𝐃𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐩𝐨𝐨𝐥 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐖𝐨𝐥𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐞: I'm a sucker for pretty much everything about this movie. From the actors to characters to the nostalgia hype train it promised. And it delivered! I had an absolute blast watching this with friends & continue to happily eat my words over the few flaws I brought up, 1/2

𝐃𝐮𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐨𝐧𝐬 & 𝐃𝐫𝐚𝐠𝐨𝐧𝐬: 𝐇𝐨𝐧𝐨𝐫 𝐀𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐠 𝐓𝐡𝐢𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐬: Listen, I've been a huge D&D nerd for decades. I watched the heck out of the old practically-trash D&D movies from the early 2000's or whatever. You cannot imagine what it was like for me to finally see a big budget movie crafted with such love. 1/3

𝐅𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐨𝐬𝐚: 𝐀 𝐌𝐚𝐝 𝐌𝐚𝐱 𝐒𝐚𝐠𝐚: Not as great as Fury Road, but come on, that's such a high bar to even try and measure things against. I'll like anything to do with Mad Max so I went in knowing I wasn't going to be disappointed, but I still had an even better time then people "warned" me about.1/2

𝐇𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐫𝐞𝐝𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐁𝐞𝐚𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬: I am a huge sucker for slapstick, especially the "old" style of Abbott & Costello or Three Stooges, and honestly didn't realize how much I missed it till watching this. Its not 𝘦𝘹𝘢𝘤𝘵𝘭𝘺 the same, it has a strong absurdist vibe that really hooked me. 1/2

𝐌𝐨𝐧𝐤𝐞𝐲 𝐌𝐚𝐧: Hell. Yeah. Loved it so much & very likely the top choice for my favorite movie of 2024. The action was just amazing, the plot is exactly the right amount a movie like this needs & Dev Patel continues to show why he's one of my favorite actors out there. Who also wrote, directed & more!

𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐂𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐌𝐨𝐧𝐭𝐞 𝐂𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐨: A French adaption of the book, and 𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘣𝘢𝘣𝘭𝘺 one of my favorite movies of the year. They 𝘯𝘢𝘪𝘭𝘦𝘥 it so much. Fantastic movie, and if you're looking for a historic drama I 100% rec this one. Excellent characters, writing & good for the whole audience.

𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐋𝐨𝐫𝐝 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐑𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬: 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐖𝐚𝐫 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐑𝐨𝐡𝐢𝐫𝐫𝐢𝐦: Another movie I had somewhat low expectations for & was pleasantly surprised by how much I liked it. It DOES have some solid flaws, but I actually came out of it pretty happy. Movie night thoughts were very split! Had the LOTR vibe & some cool moments!

𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐌𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐔𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐥𝐞𝐦𝐚𝐧𝐥𝐲 𝐖𝐚𝐫𝐟𝐚𝐫𝐞: Super enjoyable action movie with a great cast. I DID find it to be somewhat less memorable then I initially thought it would be, to a point I forgot it was a 2024 movie and thought it was 2023. Still, I'd watch the cast romp through killing some Nazi's again.

𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐬𝐟𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐎𝐧𝐞: Really enjoyed this, and its been awhile since I really "got into" a transformers property. The animation was really interesting, the plot was better then a 2024 transformers movie had any right being, and the chemistry/charisma of the voice actors was 𝘢𝘤𝘦.

𝐓𝐰𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐬: Speaking of nostalgia band wagon, 100% was the plan here. Still, I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed the movie. It worked as a sequel-that-passes-the-torch. Funny enough, its one I've actually started to rewatch a few times, only to keep getting stalled by work or calls.

𝐖𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐚𝐜𝐞 & 𝐆𝐫𝐨𝐦𝐢𝐭: 𝐕𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐞𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐌𝐨𝐬𝐭 𝐅𝐨𝐰𝐥: Hell ya, I love me some Wallace & Gromit, and this was SUCH a good return to form. To a small degree I feel it jumps on the nostalgia train a lot of movies have been doing recently, but honestly it works for a reason, & I thought they pulled it off really well.
