This should be make a template for others to follow. Local communities should be engaged in marine spatial planning especially since it may be planning their livelihoods. 🌎🦑🌿

Phylum Priapulida. Originating in the Middle Cambrian, they are predators of small inverts. Large are mostly deep sea but many species are tiny meiofauna. Their presence in the fossil record declined with the rise of more successful marine annelids (polychaetes), possibly spurring their decline. 🌍🦑🌿

A time when I wish I was a geologist 324 years ago! That would be the birthday of a massive earthquake on the Cascadia Subduction Zone, 26 January 1700. Check out the neat GIF that Prof. Diego Melgar posted over there. Truly fascinating and a testament to story telling by indigenous cultures.
