It seems to have flown a bit under the space radar, which is a shame cos it's nice and crunchy and probably one of my favourite games of theirs (although they're all solid!)

I've started asking for accessories for my hobbies, rather than stuff directly linked to them. Don't get me a board game, but get me a play mat or sexy components for one I already have. Or in your case, don't buy me a sword, but a fancy hat to wear whilst swinging said sword

I really like it! The dice placement is pretty unforgiving (if someone steals your spot, there's absolutely no mitigation and your round could be ruined) but I like the fact that the emphasis is on negotiating with the alien races instead of killing them. BOGO sounds like a good deal to me!

Ngl it's had mixed success with my groups so far, but the main deciding factor seems to be: do you like mean fighting games?

I reeeealllly wanted to like this (and many better and brighter people than me do!) but it just didn't turn me on 😢 Felt like a lot of effort to send people on the space trip of their dreams to get... a point collection phase at the start of your next few turns?
