I've heard great things, but my first play of Zhanguo didn't quite grab me as much as I was expecting it to. Hopefully I'll come to appreciate its intricacies with more plays under my belt (and not get utterly demolished in the final round like this time 🫣)

Playing everything Spirit Island as a swan song to GtG 😢
This was one of those really satisfying smackdown turns with Thunderspeaker, but I still only squeaked a win thanks to a cheeky/cheaty retcon with my Fear cards to destroy the final Prussian city. Still gonna take it 😌

Did you know that @direwolfdigital.bsky.social have a surprisingly solid Clank! companion app that lets you play solo? It has mini quests to distract you and clears random cards from the market, but the lack of player competition means I always score far, far higher than I do in multiplayer.
