Based on their GTA re-release/remaster history (looking at you Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition) folks are probably better off fetching an Xbox 360 version and playing off backwards compatibility on Xbox Series.

It’s those controls and the massive levels. It really shouldn’t need more than 3 buttons to play. And you need a good dpad. I kept shifting non-stop from the dpad to the analog stick. Just a weird control scheme.

It’s so good, now small warning. I couldn’t get it to work on my Everdrive X3, said file size was too big. However, it runs flawlessly on the Mega Everdrive Pro.

Console War era: Sega vs. Nintendo. We were lucky NES games still dropped while 16-bit was hitting its stride. I agree with those saying pre-Microsoft was better. Microsoft disrupted the industry in all the wrong ways (and I’m an Xbox guy).

Using 1998 as a metric, Rare was still a Nintendo second-party then. You could argue they were mismanaged under Microsoft. There were glimpse of old Rare in Nuts & Bolts, Viva Piñata, Sea of Thieves (SoT). But without SoT’s success, they probably would've been shut down by now.
