GAME OF THE YEAR:

Of all those nominated, I'm pulling for Clair Obscur: Expedition 33. However, of the six, I view it as a three-game fight between CO: E33, Hades II, and Hollow Knight: Silksong.

Interested to see how many wins CO: E33 gets of its history-making 12 total nominations.

I just wanted to marvel at how stacked of a moment gaming is having at present.

I still would like for any friend to walk me through if a Steam Machine would be right for me, but on the whole, I had to log on and speak into the void because I had to get this out.

Today's been a *day.*

It's been a long time since I felt this strong a desire to sit and chat with someone about all that's going on just to process everything.

And with the Game Awards nominee announcements likely next week *AND* a strong chance both FF VII Remake Part 3 AND Half-Life 3 appearing at the show...

Coupled with the GTA VI delay last week (and to a lesser extent the delays of Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra and Mixtape), the sheer amount of news, most of which major and most of which I wouldn't qualify as "good" news, is dizzying.

Who knew a random Wednesday in mid-November would be so packed.

It's not without flaws (for as diverse and beautiful Kairos is, the world is WAY too big; typical open-world mindless tasks; tech issues because of the scale [ONE side-quest disappears as I approach, locking me out of "All missions complete]), but I come away with having a great time overall.

Very basically, it comes down to the simple question of do I give myself three days extra off for one colossal massive break or do I instead spread said three days out over the first two months to have more, but smaller breaks.

Your pick and reasoning is appreciated!

So the choice:

Do I only take the last two days off at the end of the year to have three day weekends every other week in perpetuity.

-OR-

Take the ENTIRE last week off, giving me a continuous 23-day vacation, but be unable to start having routine 3-day weekends for two months?

Granted, the crossover between Monster Hunter and FF XIV happening again and Lego Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight were great moments, but I probably won't remember they had said moments by the time we get to next year.

All told: ONL is ONL and my expectations were set and met.

6.5/10.

If the likes of Ghost of Yotei, Fallout Season 2's teaser, The Outer Worlds 2, and Resident Evil: Requiem (Which, was the *only* thing from the show I cared for) weren't announced to be there, I would have a better feeling on the other side.
