Do you have a good starting point? I would like to turn this into 3D, because I want to use textures and not draw x walls for different levels by hand. I don’t need moving or animation (yet).

Yeah, but the update seem to break many projects. I guess I wait one or two fixes.

There are always two things why I restart my project in Unity: when I get fed up with camera handling and UI in GameMaker.

And after a while I return to GameMaker and solve the problem there anyway. 😅

Thanks! It still needs some improvement, as I have to store more info on the screen, but all in all I like it very much. Hardest thing surely is to keep the game as retro as possible without adding too much. Can't wait to add additional features to an "early 90s" style successor though. 😅

I might ditch the whole overworld idea and make this a dungeon crawler roguelike only. Not sure yet, though...

I really love it! What type of genre will this be? I somehow get NOMAD vibes. If you're to young to remember this, check "NOMAD DOS game" on Youtube. It was a space exploration/trading/combat game like Elite and has a special place in my heart.

That is my intention. I want to make an Ultima like overworld and 3D-ish dungeons. Might be a very small target group, but as long as people like to play it, that'll be okay. 😅
