Nevada’s Senate advanced a fascistic new “crime bill” that essentially allows a special court to banish homeless people and street performers/vendors from the Strip. It was backed by predatory casinos and comes as Las Vegas gambling winnings stagnate and tourism declines.

Wildly, some bettors are even more interested in NBA betting after a scandal involving corrupted prop bets. Perhaps some bettors believe they can exploit the corruption to their advantage. This also highlights how a betting habit is difficult to shake, and a sports integrity scandal may not deter it

It does seem like we're close to crossing a Rubicon here, where a person murders a player over sports betting losses. The NBA players feel it coming, according to a report from The Athletic.

On Tuesday, a MN Senate taxes committee blocked a study of sports betting legalization.

A proponent of sports betting claimed that not sanctioning and permitting the ubiquitous advertising of an addictive product amounted to "abandoning" Minnesotans.

Proposed language in GOP budget reconciliation bill.

This would presumably BAN any state from enacting a law to prevent or reduce gambling-related harm from the use of artificial intelligence.

Illinois, for example, currently has a bill on the table to ban the betting industry from using AI.
