A lot of talk about the casting of Murderbot. My first introduction to the character was audiobook so Skarsgard totally works for me. Plus when Murderbot throws itself at the SecUnit in System Collapse I actually pictured Skarsgard from that Tarzan flick when he was fighting.

I own a 21+ social club for board gamers. You have no idea how many people don’t get it. I just try to focus on our members who get a chance to hang out with other adults, drink a beer, disappear in a fun, engaging form of entertainment for a couple hours. There’s a lot of us adults who need this.

Oh my gosh! I forgot about that game. I used to play it all the time.

Yeah and two of us didn’t have anything to do for the last half. If you get voted out you no longer have any agency. We can joke about it now, but that was the most angry I’d ever been at another player. 4 is best because even if you don’t win, you’ll have something to do the whole game.

I did NOT enjoy it at 6. For us the sweet spot was 4-5.

I see those words and understand them individually. But what in the world do they mean collectively?!?!

Also Times Up is my favorite party game!

Also, I love this “Michael gave up studying English at Harvard University, having become disillusioned with the teaching standards--the final straw came when he submitted an essay by George Orwell that was given a B-.”

Rewatched Twister because the kid has never seen it (parent failure on my part) it still holds up. But the cast is phenomenal: Hellen Hunt, Bill Paxton, Carey Elwes, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Alan Ruck and it’s written by freaking Michael Crichton. No wonder the writing was so much better in this one

And yes, I totally said I get them for David and then put them in *MY* library. The library may have started out as his, but as I added to it, it became ours and now I just claim it as my own. #relationshipgoals
