This might seem minor, but I’m curious why *other* is emphasized that way. Maybe I’m reading into it, but no one has more of a right to call DC home than anyone else. More housing serves the greater good—and as it stands, TOPA is a major barrier to those building and investing in DC's future.

This is yet another "well intentioned" policy proposal that will give people another reason to move 10 minutes west to Virginia...

Now more than ever, I am proud to be part of a community that advocates for the rights of the marginalized and underrepresented, celebrates love in all its diverse forms, and fights for a better world for everyone.

Less than ten years ago my marriage wasn't legal and every day I hear whispers of a future where that might be the case again. For those who came before me, for my family, and for those who will come after us, I celebrate the LGBTQ+ community and love in all it's forms.

Much like the notes of a jazz trumpet, the golden fins of the facade beckon and guide pedestrians up the street and into the building's warm, double height lobby.

We had a lot of fun with this one... but then again we always have a lot of fun 🍾

The main facade along 8th Street features a subtle inflection, yielding the massing of the new 8 story building to respectfully incorporate an existing structure created by Washington DC's first black registered architect, John A. Lankford.

Randy, we love you! 😆

My husband was so embarrassed that I yelled that out to you - but we really do!

You’re kicking butt every day and bringing metro back! Thank you!

Welcome to DC! You almost caught the best part of this particular block - the mustachioed gentleman that welcomes you to the end unit duplex (just cut off to the left!)

And I’ll add that I live in a historic rowhouse with no HOA and it’s essentially a nightmare if your neighbor sucks.

I’m not fed but I am in DC and I don’t know how any American is able to sleep these days.

Was I? or was I also making a factual and general statement about a place I go to several times a year... 🤷‍♂️

São Paulo is building miles of new rail connections - that’s a fact. In my family’s neighborhood several new stations have been built in the last ten years - yet all of the roads have remained the same. A little nuance goes a long way towards getting people on board to you cause.

I don’t disagree with you but I don’t see how y’all are going to the mat over a tweet that presents no real stats.
February 26, 2025 at 3:33 PM
Please explain to me how I’m making excuses by noting that rail is being built as quickly as any other construction project in the country.
February 26, 2025 at 11:57 AM
To be fair I believe they’re expanding rail transit as well but everything moves at a glacial pace in Brasil

Kudos for saving that cute little deco building but I kinda wish they had bathed the facade in a bit more daylight. It looks a bit bleak as is.
