kids' expectations and habits are shifting (for MANY REASONS). not all of them are interested in reading longer works, & if they are going to read MG--many want full color illustrated spot art at minimum (& a deckle edge never hurts!). they do see & respect bks as art objects, which is nice!

They want to say shit that upsets you and then watch you get upset. Starve them of that shit. Block them all. There's nothing constructive about the conflict fetish that drove the algorithm in the bad place. Arguing online only hardens most people's positions anyway. We don't have to live that way.
