Baseball. That's it. That's the tw... what is it called here?
Only way it could get better is if they were Egg ET.

Similarly, if the starter leaves with 2 outs and a runner on first, that run should not be charged to him if he scores. There should be a sliding scale.
March 17, 2025 at 11:52 PM
To me, it depends on how the run is scored. If the reliever comes in with no outs and a runner on 3rd and that run scores on an out, it should not be charged to the reliever.

But the PEDs only make you vaguely better. You still have to train and execute. They guarantee nothing. And that person you're competing against may be on them too.

And why do we only care about baseball and not the rampant use in football?

This is remarkably dumb.
March 6, 2025 at 2:53 AM
I'm still not sure why we care what these guys choose to put in their bodies. It's their risk. PEDs aren't magic. You still have to put in the work and execute. They're entertainers. Mind altering drugs helped musicians create some of the greatest music ever written. No one seems to care.

Not only is Chris Cornell one of the 3 greatest rock singers who ever lived, he had a distinct knack for writing absolute bangers for movies. He truly understood the assignment.

Yes I get that. It's bad enough they perform the NA at sporting events, let alone scripted sporting events, but playing it in Canada and before the Canadian national anthem is truly bizarre no matter who they're affiliated with.
March 2, 2025 at 7:10 PM
Why would they even do the US national anthem before a wrestling event in Canada? What is the fucking point?
March 2, 2025 at 6:59 PM
Why would they think anyone would support that? He's universally reviled and a joke in his own industry, let's make him president?

And the MVP went to Willie Fucking Hernandez, a relief pitcher on an absurdly loaded Tigers team.

Well, he also said it would factor into his decision to sign an extension. Meaning the Yankees would have to pay him more to keep him. Meaning Hal would have less yacht money. And that they traded away a useful lefty and a prospect for 1 year of a relief pitcher.

Hero

He should be on the Stanton System. Just DH him 100 games a year and hope he can impact 50 of those games with his bat.
February 17, 2025 at 5:17 PM
The alphabet, ladies & gentlemen.
February 17, 2025 at 5:15 PM
And it worked. He's currently seeing where his competition is vulnerable, finding loopholes he can exploit, and giving other billionaires an opportunity to "convince him" why they should be allowed in the club. Then it's his intention to crash the economy and feast on the remains.

I never said anything about the 2025 *equivalent* of Babe Ruth. I said if you transported 1927 Ruth exactly as he was to the present day.
February 16, 2025 at 10:28 PM
Even though Bonds is obviously the best player in this picture and that card is likely worth the most from the 87 base set, I'd actually argue the Bo Jackson rookie is more "iconic". Everyone wanted to find that card during the card boom.
February 16, 2025 at 9:30 PM
Intelligent fans say he was the most dominant, which is still true. He dominanted his peers to a level no one has matched. No player can help when they were born and all things evolve with time. But yes, if you transported 1927 Ruth to 2025, he'd get struck out by high school pitchers.
February 16, 2025 at 8:25 PM
Come on... who could have possibly predicted this? You can't be spending money on depth. You have to just roll with what you got and get under that tax. That's what brings the fans to the park: the health of the owner's portfolio.
February 16, 2025 at 8:20 PM
Yup. Your best athlete (which every MLB player was at one point) is your shortstop. Some guys just don't read ground balls well and have to play CF. The best teammate I ever had was like that. He could read any fly ball, but just couldn't pick up the movement of grounders.
February 16, 2025 at 7:22 PM
Sorry missed that.
February 16, 2025 at 7:15 PM
And if they weren't the SS they were either the C or the CF.
February 16, 2025 at 7:15 PM
I would go farther than that. I would suggest that most MLB players were the starting shortstop and best pitcher on their HS varsity team. Not just 3B. All of them.
