Look at these luscious locks
Two piles of sheep fleece, divided down the middle. The one on the left is different shades of grey with brownish tips, mid length, and has a paper label on top identifying it as Ryeland Grey. The one on the right is a short staple fibre in gorgeous brown with crimped blonde tips, and is labeled as Castlemilk Moorit More fleece with decent staple length in chocolate browns with lighter tips. It is labeled as Jacob & Texel

I'm very happy to be home again but after a day of laundry and shopping and checking in on friends I'm so tired I'm slowly falling asleep on the couch clutching my fancy new yarn that smells delightfully of woodsmoke and sheep

Two sheep on short grass strewn with leaves. In front is a taller one, with black legs and face contrasting with the white body, and curly horns. Despite looking directly at the camera, its coat is so long and fluffy that no eyes are visible. It is extremely cute. Behind it is a much smaller sheep, maybe knee-height, all black, with thinner legs and shorter coat. It is equally cute but in a different way!

Can I interest you in some desolate landscapes getting swallowed by fog
A litter-strewn path with water on the left and large industrial buildings on the right. It is swallowed by thick fog almost immediately. View over a large flat grassy plain with strange hills, with lots of rubbish dumped around the edges. A thick fog leaves only the slightest hint of buildings in the distance View in thick fog towards the sun. Buildings are vaguely visible across a road and a metal fence either side. An overgrown railway line and dirt path converge in the foggy distance. They are lined with brambles and trees in autumn colours. There's promise of blue sky above.

France took months on elections last year, and is on four PMs in 1 year. They've not had a govt for three weeks now. Not exactly the same but the government there is not stable

Plus as said, first one in the US since 2029. Coverage is just skewed

My photography skills are limited but it was very fun - other creatures included guillemots, kittiwakes, some gorgeously showing shags, and the biggest seal I've ever seen

A while back now I got to go to Bass Rock to see one of the biggest gannet colonies in the world, and it was incredible

Perfect timing to see adults as well as fluffy and fledged gugas (the youngsters) together 🪶

To the left is a fledged guga, pure black with white spots like stars. Sad Frog in progress - immediately fucked up my punchcard placement but the fix has left me with this great sneak peek

Rockface coming up through light sand. The rock is mainly blueish grey, with pink veins running through it Tiny fluffy fern-like leaves of yarrow growing through a layer of rounded white, pink and grey rocks Hexagonal rock columns, sheared off at the top and broken into further different geometric shapes that fit together satisfyingly well. Small mosses and plants are growing in the cracks between them A wall made from large pieces of pink granite, with lots of small quartz inclusions, and the spaces in-between filled with smaller pieces of grey slate. The cracks are filled with small ferns and flowers

I have so many holiday photos, will try and post them in ones and twos to remind me to actually keep looking at them
The edge of a tall island between blue sea and blue sky. It is made up of roughly hexagonal basalt columns that are twisting and turning to make flowing organic shapes along the coast. Some are black, many are covered in tiny shells, lichens and grass. A straight road leading into a deep valley between craggy green mountains. Between them low and grey clouds creep out, with a tiny hint of sunshine in the distance.
