Genuine question and ask for answers with respect...I was taught in UK that the two main semitic religions were Islam and Judaism so how can one be antisemitic to the other? Were my teachers wrong?

How the shutdown relates to autocracy. For the tyrant Congress and Parliament are expendable. I am the only one that matters Trump tells us. We deserve good governance and leaders who care about our welfare.

Yes, Mr. President: You’re right. We do have “the worst health care” of any major country.

Despite spending twice as much per capita, we are the only major country not to guarantee health care to all as a human right.

The solution: Medicare for All.

The Panorama doc wasn't about political neutrality...it was historical accuracy, there was an insurrection on Jan 6th and we all watched it....BBC news and doc makers need to be historically accurate before anything when dealing with subjects that are beyond debate

Trump’s Spin on the Economy Won’t Work
President Donald Trump is taking a page from former President Joe Biden when it comes to the economy: trying to convince Americans that their lived experiences of higher prices aren’t real. It’s a hea...

Govt recovers £74m from asylum hotel firms, of tax money the Tories let slip through their greasy hands to profiteers

But it’s not long before the reporter disses the achievement highlighting any negative they can, ignoring the fact that the previous Govt recovered zero❗️
Government recovers £74m from asylum hotel firms
The amount recouped remains a small percentage of the overall cost of asylum accommodation.

This is what oligarchy looks like:

If you're Elon Musk, the richest man alive, Tesla gives you a $1 trillion pay package & Trump gives you a huge tax break.

If you're a poor kid on SNAP, Trump appeals a court decision that would have prevented you from going hungry.

Obscene.

Did it have any rails to begin with?
Tesla’s profit fell 37% in the third quarter. It's been in the process of laying off 14,000 workers. It had more cars impacted by recalls than any other brand in 2024.

Yet Elon Musk just got a pay package worth $1 trillion.

American capitalism is off the rails.

With polite challenge...he has always wanted the federal government dismantled...he never hid it and never denied it..the shutdown is what he wants
Trump has now overseen the two longest government shutdowns in history — with the current one reaching 36 days.

He ran on fixing a broken system and helping working people.

Instead, he’s making the system even worse and shafting working people by gutting the social safety net.

Zohran Mamdani ran on freezing the rent in NYC.

Abigail Spanberger ran on supporting fired federal workers and lowering the cost of living in VA.

Mikie Sherrill ran on lowering utility bills in NJ.

Ensuring people can afford to live a decent life is the path forward.

If at least 26 billionaires can waste at least $27 million trying to defeat Zohran Mamdani, then those same billionaires can afford to pay an extra 2% on their income over $1 million to make New York a better, thriving city for everyone — including themselves.

Over half of the corporations bankrolling Trump’s vanity ballroom are facing (or recently faced) federal investigations into wrongdoing — including violating workers’ rights or misleading consumers.

They also have a combined $279 BILLION in federal contracts.

An estimated 15.7 million workers use SNAP. It’s a lifeline for those in low-wage jobs.

Meanwhile, CEOs are paid 280x as much as the typical worker.

Don’t be angry at workers for using food stamps.

Be angry at the corporations paying them so little that they need them.
