I will never complain about the many weather warnings I get in a short amount of time anymore. If I'm still lucky enough to get them.

The husband had surgery on Wednesday. It was a long day, 10 am till 4:30 pm. He's doing good so far. This was delayed since covid, so I'm glad he finally got it done.

Waiting on inspector to ok our electricians work. The new breaker box has breakers that are tripping, cutting off our power. Some were replaced with the old ones & everything is running. Electrician not sure the inspector will approve.

Got a call from my oldest grandson Thursday evening that he was ok but was being taken to the emergency room at our local hospital from his job of only a month by EMS. He was having chest pains, he's 26 years old. I was there for 6+ hours with his mom, my daughter.

It's been a week since the tree fell, pulling the power box off my house, still running generators. Jumping through hoops for homeowners insurance. After days of cold showers, I went to my daughter's house for a warm shower & washed some towels & other stuff.

In the past year our hvac & hotwater heater had to be replaced, lawnmower & refrigerator had to be repaired, washing machine that was purchased in Nov had to be reset, had to replace my cell phone, oldest brother passed.

Was watching TV Saturday when the house shook. A branch from a tree fell, pulling the power/meter box away from the house.

My oldest brother has passed away. He had polio and was confined to a wheelchair for the last few years. His heart gave out. I hadn't seen or spoken to him in 9 years, but it still hurts. I'm going to tell our 94 year old mother this morning.

Just a legal historian here reminding everyone that “high crimes and misdemeanors” do not need to be felonies.

They can include political abuses and stupidity, like, hypothetically, destroying the economy and wiping out people’s savings in 3 days.

Grandson is usually overdrawn as he has no job. Daughter is ordering our family those protective sleeves for all our bank cards. Bank knows who did it, it’s a local person. She also said this usually happens at Walmart & a grocery store that's only in the southeast.

Grandson got a call from the fraud dept of his bank to ask if he had used his card for a $500+ purchase of which he hadn't. Lady then said she assumed he wasn't trying to spend $13,000 at a dealership either. His account has been locked.

Husband & I buy coffee pods by Market & Main from a locally owned store. They have been 80 for $19. Sometimes on sale for $16. Yesterday they were 60 for $19.

I remember my mom's family would always meet on Sundays after church to eat at the home where grandma lived with 5 of her daughters. One was a widow & her son. Mom is the last of 12, 4 brothers, all married with children & 7 sisters, 4 married with children. How I miss those days.

I remember when dad worked it out with the local grocery store owner, we didn't have Publix, Walmart, etc. Mr Glover would send an employee to get mom & us 3 kids let her shop & he'd ride my younger siblings around store in cart. This would be when dad knew he was getting paid.

I remember when my mom didn't eat but let us, her children, 3 of us, eat the toast, this was 65 years ago. We didn't see our dad much because he was always working. Now I understand why we road the bus to grandma's house, so mama could eat. Mama is now 94 years old.
