Over 20 years ago, when my Scottish accent was still thick, I met a girl from Virginia. In all sincerity, she asked me whereabouts in the States Scotland was. I thought she was joking and laughed. But she asked again, seeming confused why I'd laughed. She was serious. 👀

Today, I've discovered that some of my favourite TikTok accounts are actually Canadian when I thought they were from the US and vice versa. My whole feed is everyone saying goodbye. RIP my fave American accounts. I'm sorry your government sucks balls.
