We try to be creative with our signs (and shirts). 😀

Today in St. Peters, Missouri, hundreds stood out in the chilly rain with our signs and our resolve. Lots of honking horns, thumbs up and applause. People seemed impressed that we stood for hours in that weather. I hope that, alone, conveyed the message of urgency.

Trump won St. Peter’s MO by 18% in 2024. Today, a lot of those voters braved steady rain to join the resistance at the International Worker’s Day. The #resistance continues to grow.

It’s true. DOGE is needed. They’ll need to add hundreds more to the staff just to monitor all the waste and abuse perpetrated by the administration and cabinet. And they were the ones saying they would “drain the swamp?”
The FBI director flew this government plane (or one just like it), possibly from Las Vegas, where he still lives, to see a hockey game in Long Island.

Saturday we marched for democracy. Sunday we celebrated Easter. Talk about a roller coaster of emotions. As an aside, these are the only hats we own that match. I swear.

Pope Francis was a visionary leader who dedicated his life to service and justice. He encouraged us to protect our planet, championed a more inclusive church, and cared for all of God’s children — especially the most vulnerable among us.

Doug and I join the world in mourning his loss.

“The best part of this was realizing how much support there actually is in my town. I had no idea.” That’s the magic of showing up. You helped people feel less alone in places where they’ve felt isolated for far too long.
