If I had a cent for every time I'd say "well this is an edge case that ✨SHOULD✨ really never happen.. "I'd have enough to live in a 25.6% VAT country
Predictably, not all software dealing with tax in Finland or outside of Finland was built to handle decimals (silly, I know, but happens)
Amusing how this change will riffle through.
FWIW Finland is not the highest with its VAT rate in the EU. Hungary leads with 27%

#AdventOfCode day 2, I spent 45 minutes mostly searching stack overflow for "how to do thing that I know how to do in Python in Kotlin", but I regret nothing, very happy to be learning

I can't believe my youngest slept longer than 5:45 AM! I was able to collect my first AoC stars in bed with her sleeping next to me (she has a built-in proximity alarm which goes off if I'm more than 15cm away from her), with laptop on min brightness and keyboard light switched off

Before I was a parent I would roll my eyes so hard when a parent would mention that it is impossible to reason with their 1.5yo and that their kid is so stubborn. "Well, You're the adult" I would think, fortunately not saying it out loud.

my problem is that I don't know how to write a recursion for the love of me, but I'm convinced that I am good at recursions because one time in highschool I nailed the Fibonacci code

I spent way too much time as a developer thinking that copying on selection in an integrated IDE terminal was simply.. not possible?!
anyway you just need to enable it in the settings, and it works!!
