The Georgia Client Assistance Program helps people with disabilities who're seeking or receiving vocational rehabilitation services by providing information about the federal Rehabilitation Act.
GVRA’s new FY 2025 report shows how funds were invested to support Georgians with disabilities on their path to employment.Total FY 2025 Expenditures: $194,458,208

📦 GVRA may assist with the transport of personal belongings when an individual has secured or been promised suitable employment in writing from an employer. The new job must be more than 50 miles from your current residence.

GVRA may authorize placement in a recovery residence for eligible individuals recovering from alcohol or drug dependency — but only when the individual is actively receiving treatment as a primary rehabilitation service.

Under GVRA’s CSPM Section 8.1.2, exceptions to policy can be granted to meet an individual’s unique VR needs—when it’s necessary to help them reach their employment goal. Ask your VR counselor about the process or call CAP for guidance.
