Turn out Spain is the least nature-connected country on the planet. I am not surprised. It has some stunning nature reserves but the countryside is considered a dirty backyard that can be exploited at will with total disregard to the environment. Industry comes first.

Lake Trasimeno is the most ancient lake in Italy with 600 meters of sediment covering its depression. The surface is a thing of wonder, it mutates with the clouds, it appears like an inner sea, forever trapped in its own world.
