There's a media push to treat transphobic violence as something that is perpetrated by evil individuals (rednecks, young men in bars, etc) who murder out of ignorant hatred. The truth is, trans people are murdered quietly and systematically by the institutions that are supposed to protect them.

There is no middle ground with people who want me dead for being trans for one example. These people and platforming them gets trans women like me killed. Ive been harassed and threatened by far right/rw debate dipshit fans in real life. That content harms people. Its not a hypothetical. 2/4

I also think a lot of their content, even the things where people are "owning them" just pulls people towards the alt right pipeline. You click on a video with a creator, the algorithm will show more of them. We have as a culture a massive issue with mostly young men, predisposed towards bigotry 3/4

because of the bigoted culture they are raised in, being sucked into extreme misogynist, racist, ableist and transphobic spaces by algorithms that also reflect those same biases. When you debate them you assist in that. Despite liberals staunch belief in this, bigotry cant be "logic"ed away. 4/4
