ok coming back a few hours later i forgot to add even if hyth has less fine tuned technique his musicality makes up for it tenfold and has the stronger sense between the two, he has an edge of ‘feeling’ the music

been thinking about it enough that like, emet excels with adaigos and more deliberate moves whereas hyth’s strengths lie with allegros (emet keeps scolding him that he hides sloppy technique and nuance with speed)

hyth finds himself more drawn to the ‘male’ techniques and prefers performing demi-pointe (he hates pointe work), as an aside i also found it really interesting throughout my rabbit hole research i fell into to find a number of trans mascs in ballet, very interesting gender thing

emet keeps getting called out for resting bitch face but gets the technique and control down nice (scary balance and core) while hyth curiously has more interest in tours and jumps even as a wee lass (those tend to be more male moves, he actually tries partnering for emet sometimes)

emet quit first but you can see traces of it reflect in his posture, hyth’s done it long enough to need to do stretches regularly but eventually stopped when it got too serious
