In an episode of Better Offline @vicmsong.bsky.social described how she turns the flattery down to 1%. I think if LLMs are going to be useful, they need to function more like a robot and not a pretend human. Otherwise it’s just another app designed to keep you using it for hours.

The new Jurassic World movie put up a Titanosaur in Rockefeller Center! This should be the new thing, just putting up life sized dinosaurs all over major American cities. No movie tie in, just dinosaurs statues everywhere.

Does anyone pick the gold plated ice cream? I’ll pay for fancy ice cream that tastes good! Same with the foi gras burger. I’ll totally get a fancy burger, but I don’t like the cruelty of foi gras. I feel like the test needs some different options.

I was stopped at a light and I think the guy next to me was mad.
I couldn't tell. My window wouldn't go down. He kept pointing at the space in front of me, talking at me, pointing to his head, think to call me stupid.
