I am of the mindset that inclusion of diverse participants (barring necessary scientific justification e.g. exclusion of cis men from a pregnancy study) should be a requirement for journal publication these days. I hope as a field we can start to enact this!

So long as the science is strong and the communication is clear and effective, voice is nominal in my opinion. I’d much rather read compelling science with a strong narrative, regardless of active or passive voice.
