In Star Trek Discovery S1E4 Captain Lorca mentions how Elon Musk was an important figure in history. This is a subtle nod from the writers, that Lorca was from the Mirror Universe and part of the Terran Empire!

fun fact: Lars Ulrich once sued Slipknot for plagiarizing his work on Saint Anger. The Judge ruled in favor of Ulrich, saying "theres no conceivable way that someone can come up with a drum setup that sounded so bad"

Was helping a furry at anthrocon carry their tote from the hotel to the convention center. At first I thought it was fursuit stuff but turns out they were from the artist alley! I didn't expect anything in return, they offered to draw my fursona! Was so happy and surprised! Was super sweet of them!

As anti-trans, anti-drag, and anti-LGBTQ+ rhetoric floods statehouses across the country, Pittsburgh is staking out a different path: one that centers dignity, self-determination, and mutual protection.
Pittsburgh City Council Passes Bills to Protect LGBTQ+ Pittsburghers
In a sweeping move to defend queer life in the face of escalating national attacks, Pittsburgh City Council voted unanimously Tuesday to pass three landmark ordinances that provide new legal protections to trans residents, LGBTQIA+ communities, and sex workers across the city. The legislation, spearheaded by Councilmember Barb Warwick and introduced during Pride Month, marks a significant shift in how Pittsburgh approaches queer safety; not just with symbolic gestures, but with enforceable law.
